My wife an I were almost empty nesters, new to condo living at the Renaissance II in downtown London

Your Condo Butler was just an idea
We came up with the idea for Your Condo Butler after talking with neighbours, and listening to hallway and elevator chat. We heard comments about getting better air handling unit filters, how to reach the balcony glass to clean it , how hard it is to reach the dryer vent.
Around the same time my wife and I were just finishing a year long online course about changing your mind set by making a living doing what you love
We knew that we could help solve these problems and we knew it would be something that we would love to do
The dream was to grow Your Condo Butler part time for the next 7 years and then retire from the corporate job when Kim turned 55 and then run it full time

The plan was to first launch with air handling unit filters. After 5 months of working with different suppliers to get the size just right and 3 failed test runs we decided to change the plan and launch with a different service
First service launched - Balcony cleaning service
First customer appointment!
- "I have a small balcony and would like to set up an appointment..."
Finally the measurements for the air handling unit filters were perfected and I found a great supplier that could deliver quickly, next service launched - Air handling unit filter service

Launched many new services based on what my customers were asking for
Received overwhelming support and feedback
In the middle of 2017 it hit us, we realized that Your Condo Butler was growing faster than we could ever imagine

This is how 2018 started ..."Take a leap of faith and begin this wondrous new year by believing"
On January 5, 2018 at age 47, I left my corporate job to do Your Condo Butler full time.
Half way through 2018 and the Condo Butler team is growing, my son Nathan joined the team
At the end of 2018 my wife left her corporate job to join the Butler team full time. She works behind the scenes on the business side

Started the year off with our biggest project ever over at the Village North condo building at 240 Villagewalk Blvd. This was our first ever full building project. We are so grateful for this collaboration and being invited in to do this work!

Over morning coffee we got clarity and set our vision on which condo buildings we were ready to serve
- Renaissance II
- Village North I
- Village North II
- Azure
In March we moved from Renaissance II to Village North II to grow the business in the Village North condo buildings
In July my son Nathan moved to Azure to help with the business downtown
And then another full building project came up to swap out ERV filters at Azure

A big year of growth and adjustment
Over the years I had noticed a pattern in conversations with my customers, we would end up discussing real estate, either they wanted a different condo or had plans to move on. I found myself referring them to real estate agents. This was a sign to explore real estate since I always had an interest in it and it felt right. I could see how the fit made since along side Your Condo Butler
In 2018 I signed up for my first real estate course and worked on it on evenings and weekends while growing Your Condo Butler. In Jan 2020 I got my real estate license and launched Your Butler Realty
My first clients were an awesome young couple that had been Condo Butler customers for years, what an amazing experience to be able help them move from their condo into their dream home

Started the year off with another full building project, Village North II - 260 Villagewalk Blvd condo building. We are so grateful for this collaboration and being invited in to do this work!

Huge milestone in April 2021, our 5th year in business !

We expanded again and served our first customers in the new North Link condo building at 460 Callaway Rd, another great condo building by Tricar.
Feeling super grateful as we entered our 6th year in business, we have the most amazing customers who continue to get us back

I had an injury to my hand in early 2024 and paused Condo Butler services while I recovered

After my hand injury in February 2024, I had planned to relaunch Condo Butler services in early 2025. During that time, my Real Estate business has grown and evolved leading us to the difficult decision to officially close Your Condo Butler.
It's been an incredible journey, and we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for being a part of the Condo Butler story.
