When painting a condo there are a few important things to be aware of so the condo building's fire alarm panel does not get triggered.
Here is a real life example of a reminder from a condo board to the condo owners...
"We recently received a trouble alarm on the Fire Alarm Panel that turned out to be caused by a painter who had loosened the Alarm Silence push button to paint behind it. It took nearly two days for a technician to trace the source of the alarm and such costs are passed on to the owner."
If the person painting your condo is not familiar with condos they could set off the fire alarm panel with out realizing it.
Here are 3 tips to avoid setting off the fire alarm panel
1. Don't loosen, disturb or paint the Alarm Silence push button on the wall
2. Don't loosen, disturb or paint the Fire Alarm Speakers in the ceiling
3. Don't loosen, disturb or paint the Sprinkler Heads in the ceiling, carefully paint around them.
